Work is underway to create new lawn burial areas in the Court of Tranquility at Altona Memorial Park. These improvements will expand the range of memorial options available for families and enhance the peaceful character of this area.
During this time:
We will be planting new trees at the southern end of the Court of Tranquility and creating additional lawn graves.
A section of the Court of Tranquility will be temporarily closed from 2 March to 1 April, during which time visitors will be unable to access memorials in the affected area.
Temporary fencing will be installed to ensure visitor safety around active work zones.
Visitors may experience some noise and dust while construction is underway.
When required, traffic management will be in place to manage traffic flow on Sidway Avenue.
