In March, Werribee Mausoleum received an official blessing from Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne Vincent Long.

GMCT trust members, clergy, members of the public and other guests convened at Werribee Cemetery for a service which included sprinkling of holy water on the new extension.

In December 2015, GMCT hosted an official opening. In attendance were representatives of the Italian Consulate and members of the Wyndham City Council including the Mayor Cr Adele Hegedich, who joined GMCT staff, trust members and local families to mark the unveiling of the new wing.

The multimillion dollar extension to the mausoleum has provided the community with an additional 170 crypts.
