Following the publication of the 2014-15 Annual Report, The Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust is reflecting on some of its achievements over the past twelve months.

This year was an opportunity for us to show our commitment to supporting organisations that nurture and assist the families we serve, with a $33,000 donation made to the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB).

ACGB is a not for profit organisation established to provide a range of education, counselling, research and clinical services for those working in and affected by experiences of grief.

The donation was an initiative of GMCT’s Community Advisory Committee (CAC), with funds sourced through GMCT’s participation in the accredited Orthometals implant recycling program, an environmentally-friendly solution to the collection and recycling of metals from our crematoria.

The GMCT 2014-15 Annual Report can be downloaded here.

Do you need grief support services? Details on ACGB’s support and education services are available on GMCT’s Dealing with Grief page.
